What is a tail light?

A tail light is a red light located at the rear of a motor vehicle. It is used to alert other drivers and pedestrians of the presence and width of the vehicle, especially in dark or low visibility conditions. Tail lights also indicate when a driver is braking or slowing down, helping to prevent rear-end collisions. In most countries, having functioning tail lights is a legal requirement for driving on public roads. Tail lights may be combined with other lights, such as brake lights or turn signals, in a single unit known as a tail lamp. Modern tail lights are typically made with LED technology, which is more energy-efficient and durable than traditional incandescent bulbs.
